Athol is a lovely historic home built in townhouse-style in the late 1800s. View the façade of this heritage building. Grander than its mining-town surroundings of rusted iron and brick remains, Athol offers a peek into the wealth generated during the gold rush.
If you’re taking an easy walk around Hill End Historic Site, you might like to see Holtermann’s Corner too. The large store was built in 1872 with the discovery of the world's largest ever gold piece 93.3 kg of pure gold.
